We can't wait to get started!
The Association for the Advancement of Wound Care (AAWC) was officially incorporated in 1995. The intent was to speak to the needs of our constituents and initiate change to impact the field of wound management. The first AAWC Board of Directors comprised 15 members. Evonne Fowler was appointed as Founding President, and Diane Krasner hired as the Founding Executive Director.
In 2018 the AAWC introduced a new strategic plan with a focus on three key pillars: education, public policy, and research. Moving forward with a clear mission, vision, and purpose, AAWC made strategic improvements to provide its members and their patients with the best resources, ongoing education, and support network available for all stakeholders involved in wound care.
The mission of the AAWC is to advance the care of patients with and at-risk for wounds. To help achieve their mission and to continue to provide its members with key information and support, AAWC has taken another step forward by joining the vTail platform.
vTail welcomes the AAWC onto its platform where we can provide one of the tools to help this association speak directly to an engaged US multiprofessional clinical audience.
